MAGIC MILK

 We had fun making Milk dance!!
On the Left is milk with a few drops of green food colouring! Then on the right is what happened when we added a drop of detergent! 
It was fun to watch it swirl and dance!!

Where does milk come from?

On Wednesday we taste tested 3 different types of milk! We looked at the colour, smell, and way it poured.

Out of Cows' milk, Soy milk and Rice milk the favourite was Cows' milk.

Although some chidren were very suprised to find they like the taste of the Rice Milk!!

COMMUNICATION

Yesterday one of our class members' Mum brought along to school a variety of different communication tools used by people who can't always communicate by talking.

Room 14 enjoyed trying out the different tools- particulary the communication mat!!



Waihopai School PJ day!!

We had a PJ day because we are raising money for new toys to go to

the Childrens Ward at the Southland Hospital in INVERCARGILL!!!!!

Snake Cake

On our way back to school from the Cenotaph we went through the gardens and found a huge pile of dry, crunchy leaves! We couldn't resist having a super fun leaf fight! 

ANZAC DAY

 THE YEAR 3 CHILDREN AT THE CENOTAPH ON GALA STREET

On the 26th of April we walked from school to the Cenotaph to remember the people who had gone to war and fought for our freedom. We made poppies and put them on the chain around the Cenotaph.
